What is EMSS15?

EMSS15 is short for Emergency Medicine Summer School 2015. EMSS15 will be a one-week long international summer school in Copenhagen, Denmark, with extensive workshop- and simulationtraining during the daytime and social events and excursions in the evening.

Who are the organizers?

EMSS15 is presented by SATS Copenhagen, a volunteer group of medical students at University of Copenhagen interested in anesthesiology, traumatology, and emergency medicine. Since are our foundation in 1999 we have hosted several high-quality seminars, workshops and big full-scale simulation courses.

When will EMSS15 take place?

EMSS15 will take place in week 32 from Sunday to Saturday the 2nd – 8th August 2015. Please check out the Programme.

Where will EMSS take place?

EMSS15 will be held in Copenhagen, Denmark at DIMS (Danish Institute for Medical Simulation), Northern Europes largest simulation center on the very top of Herlev Hospital (25th floor).

What level of experience do we require from our participants?

EMSS15 is for everyone – no matter if you are in your first or final year of medical school. We are used to differentiating the level of our education to match the level of our participants, and we will ensure that the simulation and workshop groups will be made up with this in mind.

What is the level of the summer school?

The level of the summer school will be challenging for everyone – no matter if you are in your first or final year of medical school. We are experienced in differentiating between students and target the learning to just the level you are at – even in a mixed group. You will learn more advanced skills and algorithms than what you have met in medical school, and learn how to translate your theoretical knowledge in to practical competencies

How much are the ticket?

Tickets for EMSS15 are available at a early bird price of 3000 DKK – approximately 400 EUR or 435 USD.

Is there a cheaper ticket option if I arrange my own accommodation?

No, EMSS15 is only for medical students who wishes to participate in the full programme.

Can I get a refund for my ticket?

Up until June 1st you can get a full or partial refund of the ticket price. Please see our Refund & Cancellation policy.

The social events ranges from visits to different attractions around Copenhagen,surprising events and a big galla party.

Will I receive any learning material before the summer school?

Yes, you will receive learning material in good time before arrival and a great deal will be published on our website as well.

Will I get a course certificate?

All participants will receive a course certificate with thorough description of the content and how many hours spent on workshops and simulations.
